Symbol of hard work and dedication the road to get your hands one these shiny weapons is far from a calm ocean fishing session. While the stats of these legendary weapons are now very low compared to endgame gear the addition of a new series of Relics could very well change the tone, making them the most powerful weapon in the game.
Currently in the game are two types of Lore and Quests related relics:. Each of these relics started to a first stage and was then upgraded along with the updates of the game.
Obtaining any of these weapons required intensive farming, be it due to a large amount of poetics needed or simply a long process. For instance, obtaining a Zeta Relic at maximum level nowadays will require you to farm specific non-story dungeons a lot. The addition of these new relics is still clouded in mystery.

Not really. It's like PotD inverted. You have mobs that will happily push your face through the back of your skull. You are item level synced to ilvl, so new 70's keep that in mind.
It's the beginning of the relic quest - offering ilvl armor and weaps. What is Elemental Level Or elvl for short. The cap, currently, is Each time you level up, you gain dmg in all of the 6 elemental categories.

For example, I did a midare: setsugekka for k on a level 1 at level 20 with all my magia attuned to the monsters weakness. The reverse is also true - I know someone who was under lvl 5 hit for over k by a lvl 2x monster. However, a pic is worth a thousand words: A: These are the elements I'm talking about.
These numbers here are static, they increase with elvl. More on elements below.
But mendacity is a good 10 ilvls higher than the rest of the gear. I got 3 sets for my alts, but I'm staring at my sch with lots of mendacity gear wondering if it's good to replace this too.
Yup, even if it's to carry on with the set when the next Eureka update happens if it works similar to other relics that you keep updating them. Maybe not for BIS but maybe it will be really cool glamour or something like that tbh it isn't that bad a grind. I'm still surprised with how quick I got one full set done. If you like doing eureka, sure. If you don't and don't do savage or ex anyway why grind for gear you don't even need?
I've heard of some cases where the 5 meld slots make things better than mendacity but we'll be getting the next 24man raid with 4. Originally Posted by Sylvina. This is not hard to understand though. Mendacity gear is weekly capped while eureka gear is not, also nothing stops you from getting mendacity accessories while getting eureka gear for left side. It takes like 1 weeks for blet, 2 weeks for hand, head, gloves and 3 for chest and pants. Also since eureka gear is class based you might use it for those jobs who don't share stats like caster and in a lesser way tanks In short there are positives to them and there are negatives, it depends what you really think it's better in the end.
For me, even IF i get enough to upgrade something, from running with my SO im not going to because the conversions take too long. I made one suit of the Anemos gear for my red mage but I plan to get weapons for four classes.
I did buy some pieces to fill in some gaps for my little-played jobs. If you level a fresh job to 70 you can go get all the visible armor and a weapon for only Prot crystals. This is not gonna take very long for some decent ilvl stuff. Good advice, thx all. Page 1 of 3 1 2 3 Last Jump to page:.
Follow our step-by-step guide below for more details. You can obtain an Antiquated weapon or any other Antiquated item in two ways: either by getting it from your coffer of the level 70 final job quest, or by purchasing it from Calamity Salvager. After you've purchased an Antiquated weapon from Calamity Salvager, you can take it to Gerolt, a blacksmith, who resides in Port Surgate on Eureka. You also need to have enough Protean crystals to be able to pay for the upgrades.
Protean crystals can be obtained by killing elemental monsters on Eureka. However, in order to unlock the Anemos weapon, you will also need 3 Pazuzu feathers, which can only be obtained by killing the Pazuzu Bird, which spawns in the Newvoid, west of Eureka, after you defeat Shadow Wraith.

In the final area of Eureka the player can find three shopkeepers selling some of the best spells, summons, and equipment in the game. It is also worth noting that this is the only place where Shuriken can be purchased, though at a ridiculously high price. Hidden from plain view. It occurs to me that no one bothered to tell you the name of the island we mean to explore. Am I correct? It's a bit grandiose and melodramatic, but we've tentatively named it for a place from Allagan legend. Grind is the operative term here. There are no sidequests. No special events, save the occasional spawning of a powerful creature requiring a large group of players to take it down. Eureka is a large map filled with enemies to kill and not much else. Players battle to increase their elemental experience level, a special Eureka-only progression mechanic, allowing them to fight more challenging enemies and maybe gather those crystals required for the new powerful equipment just a bit faster.
But nothing about Eureka feels particularly fast. The creatures here are tough, encouraging players to team up, but they are not tough in an interesting way. Eureka introduces an elemental affinity mechanic, allowing players to spend points to increase either their resistance or damage done to creatures of similar or opposing elements.
That sounded interesting, but in practice it feels like an unnecessary complication. The Forbidden Land of Eureka is not one of them.
